Be flexible, be flexible, be flexible.
A few years ago, my husband and I took a group of students on a mission trip. The overarching theme of that trip was, “Be Flexible.” Your transportation is late; be flexible. Rain stopped construction; be flexible. Dinner is delayed; you won’t starve, be flexible.
That theme is certainly applicable to 2020. We planned a fundraiser for March and had to cancel; be flexible. We rescheduled and had to cancel again; be flexible. Most of our plans have been pushed sideways giving us ample opportunities to practice flexibility and think outside the box.
Our cancelled fundraiser normally brings in 40% of our budget so our reserves are rapidly being depleted. We want to let you know about ways you can be flexible and support us.
We have a fun event starting on Monday, August 24th. Our team will be competing to see who can raise the most money. Each of us will be sharing links to a Go Fund Me page to raise funds. Watch our social media starting Monday for more details.
We have also launched a “$25 a Month Club.” If you don’t currently give monthly would you consider joining our monthly club? We are hoping to add 100 new $25 a month club members. You can sign up by going to www.savanon.org/donate, check the “Repeat Monthly” box and indicate in the notes you are joining our $25 a Month Club.
Of course, you can also just simply write a check to ABAnon or SAVAnon and mail it to the address listed below.
Please join us in being flexible and finishing the year strong!
